EWC held its general assembly in Madrid

On October 30, 2024, the European Digital Identity Wallet Consortium (EWC) held its general assembly in Madrid, with E-GROUP being an active member of the consortium. The goal of the consortium is to develop digital wallet solutions in line with the eIDAS 2.0 regulation.

E-GROUP is currently conducting interoperability tests for the MyD Digital Wallet framework product within the EWC WS4 working group, and these tests have already been uploaded to the official test environment (testbed). The MyD wallet solution is modular and can be integrated into various national identification and application systems. A key feature is its compliance with both the eIDAS 1.0 and 2.0 regulations, ensuring a smooth transition between current and future infrastructures. The MyD framework is a Hungarian-developed component, well-suited as a foundation for various technical solutions.

The E-GROUP MyD wallet aligns with the requirements of the Hungarian Digital Citizen Program (DÁP) and builds upon E-GROUP’s 30 years of experience in citizen identification, electronic signatures, and electronically authenticated attributes (eAA) solutions. The MyD framework is suitable for both government and market-based applications, and as a technology developer, E-GROUP aims to support integration companies implementing, integrating, and deploying wallet, identification, and related solutions.

The EWC consortium has successfully completed the tasks set for the first year and, as part of the three-year EU project, continues to work on the development of the Large Scale Pilot (LSP).
